Today Was a Really Good Bookish Day

Petunia the Pug - she's just cute. so i'm sharing....for me. And I hope for you as well! First of all, there are two more TeleRead interviews up for "The Digitizers" column since last we spoke -- so you must go and read about the beyond words' fantabulousness of both BookGlutton's Miss Travis Alber, and SmashWords' Mr. Mark Coker. They are both doing the things bookish dreams are made of -- and if you don't check it out, you'll regret it.

And, as if that weren't enough to make a Bookish Day really good - I am working on more Bookish goodness. I'm trying to get all the bestest of the bestest bookish blogs together in one great aggregated thingamabob -- just go here and look (and add your book review blog if it's not there and you want it there) cuz I don't really know what the technical term is ("I" call it the Indie Book Bloggers' New Media Book Review Brigade -- an aggregator of the best reviewers of the *best* small, indie, and academic press titles (with a healthy dose of some other wonderful bookish stuff thrown in for good measure)! But, I imagine that's not the correct technical term.

Also - though it's not exactly bookish, @sitruc and I were able to enjoy the second half of my birthday present to him, and see the SF Giants vs. the Colorado Rockies at HiCorbett Field in Tucson today. It was a banner Cactus League Spring Training day. 78' in the sun (of which there was plenty), just a few fluffy white clouds in the otherwise clear skies, and tons of good cheer amongst the baseball loving crowds. We even got super lucky and found a parking space right up front!

So, rather than push my luck, I'm going to call it a day. A really, really wonderful day. Lots of my bookish/digerati tweeps are out at SXSWi, and I can't wait to hear more from them (you know I'm talking about you @booksquare, and @kirkbiglione, and @donlinn) -- so get back here and tell us all what Austin had to offer. In the meantime, everybody have a lovely weekend. I'll be back -- and I promise to have more bookish type things of interest to share with you. I have a few in mind right now that I'm busting to tell you about...
